Es tat mir leid, dass ich Rosa so rüde zurückgewiesen hatte. Offenbar schien sie sich aufrichtig für mein Schicksal zu interessieren und war damit außer meinem treuen Gefährten Kempe das einzige Wesen auf Gottes Erde, das an meinem Schicksal Anteil nehmen wollte. Sollte ich Rosa von Anne erzählen?
Shakespeare schwieg, und ich spürte instinktiv, dass er gerne über seine Gefühle reden wollte, sich aber nicht traute. Typisch Mann!
